Complete with ripped jeans, long hair, makeup, stage dancers, and lyrics about alcohol, women, and partying in general, The Beautifully Demolished manage not only to deliver the image of those beloved and legendary acts, but also to write infectiously catchy, endlessly fun songs that please audiences one after another without fail.

Longtime music fans who were in the crowds to see Bon Jovi andWhitesnake the first time around will raise an eyebrow at first, no doubt, but even the most calloused listener will lift a fist and find themselves headbanging – with or without hair – before TBD have completed their set. Can you describe to our readership your sound and possibly what they could compare you to?

The TBD sound is quite ORIGINAL *Big Hooky, Sin-Eatin’, Ass Shakin, Goodtime, Rock n roll* with a modern vibe. Influences include vintage Aerosmith, GnR, AC/DC, Crüe, and Kiss.

Your currently recording your debut album, how has this been for you and when can we expect its release?

Do you think TV Talent shows have to an extent damaged the real music scene?

Well…  In my opinion, The T.V. shows for the most part seem to offer a ”short cut” to fame. Where most of us have mileage and years of payin’ dues. But there are the exceptions whom have been doin’ the scene & audition for a show & get discovered. That’s great, more power to them.

Personally when I see a band with spandex, leather and some serious backcombing I know I must be onto something good! I think you tick all the box’s, are you fans of the good old fashioned glam and melodic rock?

Those were the bands I grew up with and partied to…..made memories to, etc. In my opinion the FUNNIEST TIME in Rock n Roll. There was MAGIC in the 80s!!

Have you got any plans to tour the UK?

If you ask ME…I’ve got plans to PLAY ON THE MOON! But we’ll see, LoL. But no, no U.K. dates yet. But plan on going EVERYWHERE in the future.

Haven’t toured the U.K. But I’ve toured 7 countries in Europe and they fuckin love sum Rock n Metal!

Staying outta jail last weekend at the … *SPRING STAMPEDE/ House of Rock White Marsh, Maryland. LOL!

The EP kicks off with the self titled track, Beautifully Demolished. It is an anthem that any listener is sure to begin singing along with in no time. I was reminded of what is probably the most well known anthem of all time as I listened to it. If that one needs explaining, then I definitely suggest everyone listen to it, and decide for yourselves what song it compares to.

The second track on the EP is titled Heart Tattoo, and is very easy to get lost in while listening. While it has a ballad feel to it, but it also has the appeal of a bluesy southern rock sound. Of all of the songs on the EP, I expect Heart Tattoo to be the song that will appeal to the broadest audience. The band have a definite hit on their hands with this one.

The third and final track on the EP is titled Rock Scars. The track features some great guitar riffs and an energy that a lot of music seems to be missing in this day and age. It’s the type of song that makes a person want to get up and dance. It’s an all around good time rock n roll song. Whether you’re with friends around a campfire or cruising down the road, Rock Scars is a song that is easily enjoyed by all.

After hearing this EP, I find myself with unbridled anticipation of what can be expected when a full length release is available. Members of the band, D.K. Revelle, Robbi Black, Jamie Moreno, Jimmy Minj, and Finn Zevo have come together to make what could possibly be the greatest rock band in recent years. They have each been featured in various media outlets, and definitely know how to make kick ass music.

It’s a good time record that you want to roll the windows down and crank up while you’re headed down the highway. The only problem with this EP is its only 3 songs, really just a teaser more than an EP. By the time you’re really getting into the songs it’s already over.

The 3 songs that are here are all pretty good, the title track, “Beautifully Demolished”, which I debuted on the show a couple of weeks ago, is definitely the stand out track just a straight up sing along party rock song.

“Heart Tattoo” is a mid tempo track that rocks just enough it never dips down into ballad status and it never turns into a full fledged rocker, but it’ll still have some folks tapping their steering wheel or feet whichever you prefer.

I can’t put a finger on it yet, but for some reason “Rock Scars” just makes me think of Ugly Kid Joe, not that it’s a bad thing because I still dig Ugly Kid Joe. The song sounds nothing like an Ugly Kid Joe song it just makes me think of them. Remember back in ’92 there was a song on “America’s Least Wanted” called “Mr. Recordman”?  Well “Rock Scars” could be “what happens after” the band signs the big record deal, tours the world, and lives the life years on end. As a matter of fact I went and pulled up “Mr. Recordman” and played it and “Rock Scars” back to back and they just flowed together perfectly.

If there is an underlying theme on this teaser EP it’s definitely “Booze, Women, Partying and Rock N’ Roll” which is fine with me because all of that usually equals fun and call me shallow or whatever, but I’ve never been one to buy into the whole rock n’ roll is supposed to preach and bring awareness to all the world’s problems. Rock N’ Roll is supposed to be about escape and fun and you get some of that on “Beautifully Demolished” even if its only three songs worth.

This is what I need from DK and the guys…more music and the sooner the better so chop chop guys… summers almost here and I need a soundtrack.

In route to new heights, D.K. Revelle, the former front man for San Francisco rockers JETBOY steps into a new role as leader of the high profile THE BEAUTIFULLY DEMOLISHED. Just out of the gates they have already released an E.P. with three in-your-face tracks.

The opening track “Beautifully Demolished” is reminiscent of past greats with traditional riffs of the classic era in music. Sure to be a beer drinking favorite song the chorus has that party atmosphere that will drive the patrons to another round and it has that great live feel to it also.

“Heart Tattoo” has a bit of a melodic side and with Revelle bringing his raspy vocals it makes the track a keeper. The song has a bit of a southern feel which will bring another dimension to the band. The guitar work by Jamie Moreno and Finn Zevo are not over powering and they shouldn’t be on “Heart Tattoo”.  The song really flows well and is my favorite on the disc.

“Rock Scars” ends the EP in high style with the addition of some harmonica and the back beat of drummer Robbie Black and bassist Jimmy Minj. I can see the chicks grinding to this song!

All three tracks are songs you can sing along with and good audience participation will push the tracks over the edge. It’s a good start for THE BEAUTIFULLY DEMOLISHED.

Vocalist Tommy Milan also adds; “We contemplated on re recording some of the best tracks from the Modern Superstar debut ‘Under My Skin’ but the band and label decided against it as the new material is so much stronger and better than anything in the past. In fact, I know we can re record that entire album and make it 100% better than it is just because this band as it stands today is so much more than any incarnation previously. This is definitively Modern Superstar! In the end, we already do the songs live and nobody wants to rehash that old shit, so were moving forward only on the new material.”
