HighVolMusic Joins In The Fight Against Epilepsy
The Dr. Alfonsina Q. Davies Epilepsy Foundation was the natural outcome of two major themes in the lives of Dr. Alfonsina (Nina) Quintana Davies, who had epilepsy from birth and her parents Thomas and Nadia Davies. Nina, her mother and father, were closely knit because of her disorder. They lived it day in and day out, for 52 years. Suffering with their daughter and fighting along with her to get the best and latest treatments, be it a diagnostic procedure, a doctor, a new medication and ultimately two brain surgeries.
The mission of the Dr. Alfonsina Q. Davies Epilepsy Foundation is to improve the lives of those afflicted with epilepsy through increased research efforts, a better treatment modality and the elimination of the stigma and prejudice that surrounds this disease in all facets of public life.
SLEDD frontman Cary Rothman has written a song for the Foundation and Nina Davies entitled “She Lived Her life to Save A Life” which will be included on the upcoming 2014 “Get Rich Quick Scheme” release. Additionally, VoxOx® and VoxOx In Business™, a leader in cloud communications from San Diego, will a play a major role in developing advertising inside of apps for the benefit of the Dr. Alfonsina Q. Davies Epilepsy Foundation and HighVolMusic.
Fund Raising and Awareness events are currently being developed and coordinated for 2014. Through music we can achieve! For more information about the Dr. Alfonsina Q. Davies Epilepsy Foundation visit http://www.ninascourage.org.
